Autumnal Leaves29 September 2025I might have said this several times before… Images – flower council of Holland BUT I love this change of season – the autumnal colours of browns, rusts and golden reds, reflected in the kaleidoscope of flowers available in this season, Sunflowers, Anigozanthos, Brassica and Leucospermum to name a few… We have decorated the outside of the shop to reflect this season change too – our beautiful bouquets will arrive in our signature gold and grey packaging which really bring the tones and shades of autumnal together! It’s been a busy few months for us here at F & H HQ- we were awarded the highest accolade from Interflora UK – of five-star artisan florist – which highlights the expectational customer care we give, in both delivery and creative design of all our orders placed with us. We are all delighted to have such recognition. This also means that the team will benefit too – Carly our senior florist has been selected to support other florists in our region to help the teams strive and achieve their potential for their own shops. At the beginning of the year, I started looking at how to make our business more eco conscious and implemented The Green idea! We are still working closing with the local community at Eat Cary and the moat – who have our waste green stems for composite every week. I have also switched to paper bags and smaller items in the florist tool kit have changed to non-plastic products. My next challenge is allowing customers to choose if they would rather a non-foam arrangement – so far customers like the idea – so do ask when your placing orders! September also sees the start of school and college terms again! So, Tracey has returned to Wiltshire college to start the next set of courses – ranging from Advanced, intermediate and beginners. They are all six-week courses – running at both Trowbridge and Salisbury campus – and cover everything from beginning with basic designs and elements of design and moving on to nurturing your own styles and large-scale pieces. Christmas is just around the corner – so we are hosting just two workshops this year for Christmas wreaths - Spaces are limited, so best to book in now!
